Tiger Woods turned heads as he made a stunning return to the spotlight on Tuesday, June 23, just three months after his DUI arrest.

The 15-time major champion stepped onto the stage at a PGA Tour press conference to introduce the organization’s new CEO, Brian Rolapp.

The 50-year-old appeared relaxed and in good spirits during his appearance, but did not take questions from reporters. Making no mention of his recent legal challenges or rehabilitation stay overseas during his on-stage speech, Woods focused on PGA Tour business.

The legendary golfer, who serves on the Tour’s Future Competition Committee, said it was a “privilege” to introduce Rolapp as the organization’s new CEO.

After taking the podium, Rolapp acknowledged Woods’ return, telling the golf icon, “I think I speak for all of us when it’s glad to see you back”, as reported by Golf Channel.

Woods’ appearance marked his first official PGA Tour event since his arrest following a two-vehicle rollover crash near his Jupiter Island, Florida, home on March 27. Authorities charged him with DUI, property damage, and refusing to submit to a lawful test, according to Fox News.

According to police, Woods appeared lethargic at the scene, and officers reportedly found hydrocodone pills in his possession. A breathalyzer test at the scene did not detect alcohol in his system.

Woods later pleaded not guilty to the charges and on April 1, a judge granted him permission to travel abroad for inpatient treatment, as per Fox News.

The longtime PGA Tour star then entered a rehabilitation facility in Zurich, Switzerland, according to multiple reports, including TMZ.

As Globe previously reported, earlier this month, Woods briefly returned to the United States to support his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, after she publicly revealed her breast cancer diagnosis before resuming treatment overseas.
