Rosie O’Donnell Reveals Plans to Move Back to Us After Relocating Amid President Trump’s Second Term
Rosie O’Donnell publicly announced her move to Ireland following the 2024 Presidential Election. However, the former talk show host revealed when she plans to move back to the States.
O’Donnell — who posted an Instagram shot on Sunday, June 21, of her visit to New York to celebrate friend Mariska Hargitay‘s Broadway debut — was asked by a fan whether she plans to stay.
“No, there’s another school year there for Clay,” she shared, referring to her youngest child. “When he’s out – I will be back.”
After another follower commented, “New York misses you,” O’Donnell, 64, wrote, “I miss nyc.”
Prior to her move to Ireland after President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, O’Donnell sold all of her U.S. property.
“I sold everything,” she told Andy Cohen during her appearance on his Sirius XM radio show on June 16. “I had a big four-bedroom penthouse and it was, you know, I thought all my kids would love to come in all the time. They never came in.”
She added, “We don’t know how long Trump’s going to stay in. When he’s done, I will come back.”
O’Donnell has been a longtime opponent of the 80-year-old prez, previously calling him a “liar, and a fraud, and a fake” during an October 2025 appearance on Today.
“He’s been threatening for 20 years to sue me. [But] you can’t sue someone who tells the truth about you,” she added.
