A teenager landed himself in the hospital after falling out of the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride at Disneyland over the weekend.
A Disneyland spokesperson told Fox News that the 13-year-old attempted to exit the log flume ride before the vehicle went over the attraction’s 50-foot plunge.
In a video shared on social media, viewers can see the teen plummet down the ride’s final descent after trying to exit to the side of the vehicle.
The ride was immediately stopped by a castmember and the boy was taken to a local hospital to have his injuries evaluated.

The moment quickly went viral and one user on Reddit claimed to have been on the ride when the accident happened.
“I was in the ride when this happened I actually saw the kid fall down the hill for a second when our log passed the fall,” the Redditor wrote. “[Four] people in our log saw it and then one minute later the ride stopped for probably 10 minutes then it started again we went throughout the ride like nothing happened when we got off there were about 6 Disney police and a mother and two kids were with them all soaked.”
Another person added, “He attempted to exit the ride vehicle at the top of the final drop. the ride stop mechanism failed to engage or was already past the threshold for the vehicle to enter free fall.”
While the ride was shut down for several hours, it has since resumed, according to multiple reports.
According to People, the boy was released from the hospital after being evaluated.
