A California man found himself in a stinky situation after losing his sunglasses in a flushless toilet.
According to a report from YouCentralValley.com, the unnamed man fell into a vault toilet while camping after trying to retrieve a pair of sunglasses that had fallen in.
First responders were called to Camp Edison in the Sierra Nevada mountains for a “confined space rescue” around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, the outlet reported. The man was trapped inside the waterless, non-flushing toilet for up to 15 minutes before being rescued.

“Via a Spanish translator, they advised that the subject had fallen into the chemical storage tank,” Sergeant Chris Tullus told YourCentralValley.com. “Law enforcement, Camp Edison staff, and fire personnel responded and were able to safely get him out, decontaminate him, and, he’ll be ok.”
While it’s unclear whether he was able to successfully retrieve his sunglasses, the man did not sustain any serious injuries.
