Olympic skier Bode Miller was arrested in Idaho earlier this month.
The gold medalist, 48, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident in Idaho on June 6, TMZ reported on Tuesday, June 23.
Miller pleaded not guilty and was released after posting a $5,000 cash bond.
He is due back in court on July 29, according to the outlet.
The retired athlete’s run-in with the law came just days before the eight-year anniversary of his daughter’s drowning.

“We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten,” Miller — who shared then 19-year-old daughter Emeline with wife Morgan Beck — wrote in a statement shared on Instagram on June 11, 2018. “Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time.”
In addition to Emeline, the couple share five children: Nash, 11, Easton, 7, twin boys Asher and Aksel, 6, and Scarlet, 4.
